1966 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK SHELBY TRIBUTE CAR
Now this is one stunning looking Shelby Clone Mustang Fastback with only about 2,000 miles since recent restoration, completed December 2015. Powered by 289 V8 that has correct date coding 6.F.22 and cylinder heads to match 66 6.F.21 with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, a Holley 4 barrel carburetor # 1850-3 and Tri-Y headers. This is coupled to a T10 4-speed top loader gearbox, with Hurst shifter, rebuilt in December 2015. The suspension is set up Shelby style with Shelby sway bar and Monte Carlo bar. Wheels are Chrome Magnum 500’s, 15x7 fronts and 15x8 at the rear with B.F.Goodrich radial TA’s. It has a Shelby Hood scoop in a fiberglass/steel hood and operational Shelby side brake scoops along with Plexi glass side windows along with front disc brakes. Vintage air conditioning has been fitted. We have the original owners manual and data warranty/owner card. The stereo is from Custom Sound whom makes custom radios for classic cars that are AM/FM and CD player capable. Sold new August 18, 1966 and owned by the same owner until 2008. This new owner started the restoration and we have records showing almost $32,000.00 spent in restoration, not including the car or engine rebuild, and at ridiculously low hourly rates, over 700 hours at only $20.00 per hour. It was then sold in an unfinished state to a Classic Car dealer whom finished the restoration in time for Christmas 2015. Finished in High Gloss Raven Black with Black interior.
